Recreational
opportunities abound in and around Palmyra. Remember to bring your golf clubs, tennis racquet, skis and just about any other recreational sporting equipment you own on your next visit!  The Finger Lakes Region is overflowing with golf courses, tennis courts, ski centers, hiking trails, and more.  Some of our favorite activities include:

Golf at nearby Taranwould in Newark, New York,  just a 10 minute drive from Liberty House. 18-holes, riding carts, restaurant. Open April through December 24; 8:00am to dusk, 6:00am to dusk in July and August, per tee time on weekends. Tel. (315) 331-9128

Tennis at Palmyra-Macedon High School.  Less than a mile from Liberty House for several terrific new courts.

Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club.
 

Curling at the Rochester Curling Club.  Okay, so maybe it's not your typical winter sport, but if you visit Liberty House between November and March, we'll probably be able to get you out on the ice (with expert guidance, of course) to try out the Roarin' Game!  Tel. (585) 235-8246

Hiking and bicycling along the Erie Canal Towpath Hiking Trail, connecting the Port of Palmyra Marina and Aqueduct Park/Lock 29 to all points west along the canal.
